The meeting with the domestic policy spokesman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Dr. Mathias Middelberg, was a varied excursion through many topics. Our chairman Elio Adler explained how WerteInitiative works for a Jewish future in Germany. At the centre of the conversation stood the defence of the free democratic basic order and its connection with the fight against antisemitism.
After the conversation Dr. Middelberg emphasised: “That more than 100,000 Jewish citizens are living in Germany again is by no means a matter of course against the background of our history. That is why we must resolutely combat every form of antisemitism in our country! To stand up against antisemitism means to defend our free democratic basic order.”
