Human rights and education are political priorities of the member of the Bundestag Peter Heidt.Accordingly, in view of the current tendency hostile to freedom in Germany and other states, the thematic focus of our conversation was: a pronounced awareness of human rights in particular, as well as an education system which, alongside the usual learning content, also conveys democratic values, are important building blocks for stabilising a democracy. Democracy for its part must live and defend its values – a challenge precisely in today’s times.
