These days we look with dismay at the escalation of violence in Israel.
Thousands of rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip so far, and within a very short space of time. Once again, Hamas is trying to draw attention to itself through a war against Israel.
Its war against Israel is deliberately aimed at civilian casualties – including among its own population.
A moment at which we would like to show our solidarity with the Israeli population!
But the aggression of Hamas has an effect not only in the Middle East. In Germany, too, there have been serious antisemitic attacks in recent days. As a result, the security situation for Israeli and Jewish people and institutions has deteriorated once again.
We are therefore calling for a demonstration of solidarity with Israel. Combined with a clear rejection of any hatred of Jews!
