Jewish residents of Düsseldorf are interested in and moved by political topics. This was demonstrated by the lively participation in our event, at which a great many topics important to the participants were raised. There was consensus that the most important step towards consolidating a democratic society is political education. Many of the participants experienced the rule of law as at times helpless in the face of increasingly openly visible hatred of Jews.
Our chairman took the opportunity to present the work of WerteInitiative and was delighted by the participants’ interest. His impulse to become politically involved seems to have fallen on fertile ground.
Thank you to Alon Dorn and the Berial Boutiquehotel for their hospitality! “WerteInitiative vor Ort” has once again proved itself (and at last again “after Corona”) to be a conversation format close to the Jewish community. We will keep at it for you!
