As part of our work we hold many conversations on questions of how society and politics deal with threats to the free democratic basic order. Yesterday our board members Elio Adler and Daniel Kohn met the Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, Ms Katarina Barley (SPD). The occasion for the visit to the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection was the presentation of the WerteInitiative and the handover of our BDS dossier. We spoke with the minister about the increasing dangers to society and democracy and discussed what role the topic of “antisemitism” plays in this. It was also about our assessment of the possibilities for “healing” these developments. Ms Barley was very interested in our view. We thank Federal Minister Barley for the conversation.
