The FDP member of the Bundestag, Mr Benjamin Strasser, is a member of the Committee on Internal Affairs as well as his parliamentary group’s rapporteur for the federal security architecture and, among other things, the intelligence services.
He therefore has a particular understanding of the threat situation in which Jews in Germany find themselves. We agreed strongly that this threat to Jewish life is “merely” one example of an overall threat to which society as a whole sees itself exposed. The WerteInitiative handed him a dossier on the anti-Israeli boycott campaign, which in our view nourishes antisemitism in a hypocritical manner and thereby harms peaceful coexistence in a plural society.
