In its series “Werte(Initiative) in der Diskussion”, WerteInitiative, in cooperation with the Jewish Culture Days Berlin, invites you to a reading with Lenn Kudrjawizki from his novel “Familienbande”

He thrilled millions of viewers as a detective inspector in the “Kroatien-Krimi” (ARD), appeared in the Oscar-winning film “Der Fälscher” and in between played music with Kevin Costner in his caravan. His book is brilliant, informative and more than just the biography of an actor. It tells the story of a boy who roams the wilderness of the Caucasus with his father in order to find out something about the fate of his Jewish ancestors. The story of a teenager who experienced a family roller coaster in East Germany and has to say goodbye to his father at nineteen. A young man throws himself into work in order to escape the grief and in doing so almost loses himself. Lenn Kudrjawizki showed how hard it is to let someone go and to make peace with people and experiences. Born in Leningrad in 1975 and raised in East Berlin, the actor, musician and director Lenn Kudrjawizki is one of the German actors who have made it to Hollywood. In Germany he is known through the award-winning series “Abschnitt 40”. Since then he has appeared in many successful TV, film and streaming productions (“Jack Ryan – Shadow Recruit”, “Refuel the Transporter”, “Vikings”, “Unorthodox”, “Babylon Berlin”).
A trained violinist, Lenn Kudrjawizki and his wife, the violinist Nora Kudrjawizki, play together in the folk group “Fiddlaffairs”.
