Yesterday the chairman of the board, Dr. Elio Adler, and the executive officer Aras-Nathan Keul met the deputy federal chair and European and international coordinator of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, Jamila Schäfer.We explained the work of WerteInitiative and agreed on the importance of the values of the free democratic basic order and that these must be strengthened across society as a whole. Ms Schäferemphasised how important the fight against antisemitism is, including Israel-related antisemitism as it is expressed, for example, in the BDS campaign – at national level but also at EU level. She also pointed out that in the context of her European work she positions herself against support for the BDS campaign.
