Meeting with Dr Barbara Slowik, President of the Berlin Police

8. January 2020

The Berlin police are confronted with difficult challenges every day. Our free democratic basic order is threatened by enemies of the constitution and by extremists. To protect our society, the police, as an executive body of the German state, do indispensable work every day and at the same time protect our civil rights. For this reason our chairman, Elio Adler, met the President of the Berlin Police, Dr Barbara Slowik. He was accompanied to the meeting by our board officer, Johannes Sarcher. The head of Staff Unit II, Thomas Dublies, was also present. Mr Adler presented the work and central positions of the WerteInitiative. There was agreement that most enemies of the free democratic basic order share antisemitism as a common ideological feature and that combating antisemitism protects the free democratic basic order (FDGO).

We thank Dr Slowik for the conversation. Furthermore, our thanks go to her – on behalf of the entire Berlin police – for their work in protecting society and, within it, us Jewish women and men.
