On Friday, 15 March, the convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh and the poet Dareen Tatour, who supports terrorist organisations, are due to appear in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The anti-Israeli event is to be held under the title “Palestinian women in the liberation struggle” and is being organised by the PFLP-affiliated “Samidoun” network together with the “Palestinian Youth Movement” (HIRAK). In addition, the “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions” (BDS) campaign is appearing as a supporter. The PFLP is listed EU-wide as a terrorist organisation and has been responsible since the 1970s for numerous terrorist attacks in Israel and Europe. Rasmeah Odeh was involved in various bombings in Israel and sentenced to life imprisonment, but was released early through a prisoner exchange. Events of this kind make support for anti-Israeli terrorism socially acceptable in Germany and offer terrorist organisations a platform. The WerteInitiative condemns this event in the strongest possible terms. Such gatherings not only promote antisemitism in society, they also run counter to a free and democratic culture of society. What is particularly troubling is that, after Laila Khaled in 2016, this is at least the second case of a former terrorist who should in fact never have been granted a visa to enter Germany, yet is nonetheless permitted to do so. No visa for terrorists!
