The CDU parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives has a new spokesperson against antisemitism – Dr Timur Husein.
A few days after his appointment, our chairman and Mr Husein took the opportunity to enter into an exchange. Particularly important for us as an association was to show that hatred of Jews is a cross-cutting issue and plays a role in many areas of political and social discussions. In this, antisemitism is frequently a connecting element among the most diverse enemies of democracy. Mr Husein emphasised: “Only those who recognise the fundamental hostility to democracy contained in antisemitism see how many dimensions the fight against it must have.”
