No Quds march! Against the terror propaganda of the Iranian regime!
Every year on the last Friday of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan, supporters of the Islamist dictatorship in Iran call for the so-called “Quds Day”. “Quds Day” was established in Iran in 1979 as a political day of struggle on which campaigning takes place worldwide to destroy the Jewish state and to conquer “Al Quds”. (Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem.) Under the pretext of representing the rights of Palestinians, antisemitic conspiracy myths are spread and an aggressive readiness to fight against Israel and the West is demonstrated. Anti-Zionist hatred of Israel is intended to serve as a connecting link to mobilise antisemites of every stripe.
We consider it intolerable that it is possible, in the middle of Berlin, to call for the destruction of Israel, the largest Jewish community in this world. We stand for solidarity with Israel and protest against every form of antisemitic and Islamist propaganda in Berlin.
Quds Day in Berlin is the loudspeaker of the Islamist dictatorship in Iran on Berlin’s Kudamm. Those demonstrating are above all supporters of the Iranian regime: followers of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, of the Islamisches Zentrum Hamburg, officials of the “Islamische Gemeinschaft der schiitischen Gemeinden Deutschlands” (IGS) and of Palestinian terrorist organisations.
We therefore expressly welcome the ban on activities imposed in March 2020 on the antisemitic terrorist organisation Hezbollah. For Hezbollah propagates armed struggle by terrorist means, is directed against international understanding and calls for the complete destruction of Israel. Hezbollah sympathisers in Germany spread its message on Al Quds Day among other occasions. We therefore call on the Senator of the Interior now to prohibit the Quds march as well.
Against the propaganda from Tehran we set our solidarity with Israel and with all democrats from the region: with the people in Iran who suffer under their corrupt and Islamist leadership, which does not stand by them in the coronavirus crisis but puts state funds solely into terrorist and military projects, such as the nuclear programme and the missile technology with which Israel is threatened. We stand in solidarity with Kurdish, Yazidi and many other organisations that suffer in the region under aggressive Iranian foreign policy, with the Iranian opposition members in exile, with the homosexuals and the women who are fighting in Iran for their freedom and against compulsory veiling.
Against every antisemitism – against every anti-Zionism!
