Last Wednesday our chairman Elio Adler and the spokesman of WerteInitiative, Leonard Kaminski, met the cultural policy spokesperson of the FDP parliamentary group in the Bundestag, Ms Anikó Glogowski-Merten, and her team for an exchange in the Bundestag.
After presenting our activities, we spoke with Ms Glogowski-Merten about our continuing shared concerns regarding the antisemitism displayed at documenta fifteen. We discussed how a repetition can be avoided and how hatred of Jews, including in the cultural scene, can be dealt with. Our clear demand as WerteInitiative is to include the IHRA definition of antisemitism in state funding conditions.
