Last Wednesday our chairman Elio Adler and the spokesperson of WerteInitiative, Leonard Kaminski, met the President of the Bundestag, Bärbel Bas (SPD), for an exchange in the Bundestag.
The topics of conversation were the effective fight against antisemitism and the question of how our society can develop an emotional bond with the fundamental values of a free and democratic order. We agreed that we can certainly be proud of the values of our Grundgesetz (Basic Law), which make life in a democratic society possible for us. Making these values something society can experience with pride should be one of the core concerns of politics.
