On 23 June we met Lamya Kaddor, the domestic policy spokesperson of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Bundestag. We presented the work of WerteInitiative and exchanged views on the challenges of the forthcoming legislative period.
The pressure on our democracy remains high. Extremists, but also enemies of democracy from the supposed centre of society, are attempting to divide our society. All the more important is that all democrats recognise that a free society is an unstable condition which must be defended anew every day. To this end, the discussion about the values that hold a plural society together must urgently be expanded.
