On 2 June we met Michael Breilmann, the rapporteur on antisemitism of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag. Elio Adler presented the work and forthcoming projects of the WerteInitiative.
As rapporteur for the subject of antisemitism in particular, Mr Breilmann in our view has the important function of reflecting in political work what hatred of Jews means for society. That goes far beyond the mere protection of a minority within the population. It is about protecting the core of a free and democratic society and its values. That requires a vigilant 360° view.
