Hip-hop and above all German rap have become almost indispensable to youth culture in Germany. Yet in the past there have repeatedly been anti-Israel and antisemitic lyrics. Some of the authors of such lines are even awarded prizes for humanity.
We have taken the European Year of Youth as an occasion to talk in the WI-Talk about antisemitism in German rap. For this we invited the rapper and singer/songwriter Ben Salomo and the rapper and member of Artists Against Antisemitism RONI.
