At the world-renowned art show documenta 15 in Kassel, numerous unambiguously antisemitic exhibits were displayed last year despite many repeated warnings. Now the final report of the academic advisory board on documenta 15 has been published, and it comes to an appalling conclusion which was, however, unfortunately to be expected for Jews: the handling of antisemitism at documenta 15 has destroyed “trust and strengthens a feeling of insecurity in German society.” We spoke with Prof. Dr Julia Bernstein, professor of discrimination and inclusion in the immigration society at the Frankfurt University of Applied Science.
