Again and again, distorted images, one-sidedness and errors occur in the German-language media’s reporting on the so-called Middle East conflict, and in particular on Israel. We spoke with the journalist and author Esther Schapira and the historian Jörg Gehrke about the images of Israel in the German-language media, the causes of this and what can be done about these failings.
