No state in the world is condemned as often in the United Nations as Israel. The occasions and topics often seem absurd and are almost always brought forward by states hostile to Israel. The campaign-like character of the motions is obvious. Nevertheless, Germany predominantly votes in favour of the UN motions in which Israel is condemned. According to a surveythat we conducted last year, this is behaviour that irritates over 90% of the participating Jewish citizens in Germany. We therefore speak with the executive director of the NGO UN Watch, Hillel Neuer, about German voting behaviour within the United Nations with regard to Israel.
